Clay Harris, a native Nashvillian, has created a theatre group in Centerville, Tennessee, that brings 38 years of experience in play writing and directing to this small town.
Not just any playwrite is this Clay Harris. Starting at nineteen years old in London, his performances have won critical acclaim in the New York Press. He has worked and studied with some of America’s most influential and respected theatre geniuses. He is a highly respected and sought after leader in educational theatre. His developmental theatre style” is heralded as “cutting edge” theatre. He is one of the most gifted and creative writer/directors. He has written over 45 plays and directed over 500 productions with over 15, 000 people as actors in those plays.
Part of the magic Clay Harris brings to the theatre is his ability to build his plays around the personalities and abilities of his actors. His audition sessions are more about finding a place for an aspiring actor that a test of their abilities. His plays evolve during play practice until the performance becomes natural for the players.
In the small town of Centerville, Tennessee where he resides, he has written and directed a number of new plays--all hits.
