We cater to families seeking small scale, wholesome pleasures. Our camps and campgrounds are small, but they often have long, successful traditions in settings that take advantage of our natural resources and community values. Our town is small that you won't get lost as you immerse yourself in its interesting past. Our local personalities are real, not made up to fit a tourist town's theme; get to know them.
- Visit Camp NaCoMe.
- Once known as Beaver Dam Springs Resort, the area was purchased in 1939 by the Tennessee Synod of the Presbyterian Church. It's a place where God's people come to re-create. Call (931) 729-9723.
- Visit Camp Meribah
- Named for the place in the Bible where water came from the rock, this Chrisitan youth camp is owned and operated by the Centerville Church of Christ.
- Walking Tour
- We're small enough that you can easily walk around our town square and historical areas. Stop by the Chamber of Commerce office on the west side of the square for maps and local information guides.
- Grinders Switch Interpretative Center

- A portion of the Chamber of Commerce Office on the square, the Grinders Switch Interpretative Center is the place to learn about Minnie Pearl. On Saturday mornings, stop by for the Grinders Switch Hour for the live music program and radio broadcast at 10:00 on Saturday mornings.
- Ride in a horse-drawn carriage.
- Available for special events like weddings and birthdays, Sugar Creek Carriages is closely associated with Chestnut Hill Ranch Bed and Breakfast, although you may prefer the bunkhouse. You can choose from a variety of carriages including covered wagons, surreys, and stagecoach. Sugar Creek Carriages will even arrange a carriage driving lesson for you.
- Go Camping - Get to know a horse--or yourself
- Just west of the nearby town of Hohenwald is Calico Junction Mule Ranch. As their website says, "We have 120 acres of trees, meadows, ponds and springs where you can relax, go on horseback and wagon rides. Or if you wish, you can attend one of our clinics or visit a team building camp."
