A child once wrote, "The secret to life is good watering." How true! We have clean, pure water running in our hollows, especially in the southern part of the county. Our streams are rich in aquatic life, and our stream borders are havens for wildlife and wildflowers. You can
- Choose to wade in the cool, clear waters (Better wear shoes--the rocks hurt the feet of everyone but the children!)
- Go Fishing. Fish from the banks, float the rivers, or wade the creeks
- Sit on the bank and let the kids play in the water. There are minnows to chase, water bugs to catch (some smell like fresh apples), and crawfish to discover under the gravel.
