The Memorial Service honoring and celebrating the life of Charlie Garner, Bass player for Del Reeves and Host of KiX96 Grinders Switch Hour, will be Sunday Oct. 12, 2008 with music beginning at 1:30pm and the service at 2pm at Fairfield Baptist Church in Centerville, TN. There will be music from the Grinders Switch Ensemble. Bro. Bob Hammer, Charlie's Pastor, will deliver the eulogy. There will be other speakers. Cowboy Poet Woody Woodruff wil recite Charlie's favorite piece. J.D. Hatfield will play harmonica. The Good Time Charlie's have been asked to perform.
Come help us celebrate the life of the man who has contributed so much to country music through his career with Del Reeves and to Hickman County and asked for so little in return. He is very much respected and loved in the hearts of many and will never be forgotten. |
